Term & Conditions

By joining North Studios, LLC (North Studios) as a member at any membership level and having your profile and work hosted on the North Studios website (www.northstudios.org) you agree to the following terms and conditions listed below.

Membership

Membership entitles you to a profile listing with your bio and example images on the North Studios website. Members may also submit work they’d like to sell on the North Studios’ online shop. Membership also includes access to shows and exhibits. Shows and exhibits may require an additional submission fee. Membership does not include access to a physical studio space unless noted otherwise.

Membership fees are annual and paid at the time of joining. Fees are due 1 year from the time of joining. The current annual membership fee is $45 per year per member. North Studios reserves the right to alter the membership fee at will, but will take every measure to notify members well in advance of their annual renewal.

Ownership

Each member retains the rights to any and all submitted work and copy displayed on North Studios’ website or via exhibition. Artwork and copy do not necessarily reflect the views of North Studios, LLC. North Studios retains the right use members’ artwork for promotion purposes such as upcoming shows via outreach and social media.

Community Guidelines

North Studios’ mission is to facilitate the creation of art by providing affordable, safe and equitable creative space (both virtual and physical) for visual artists. All members are expected to treat each other and their views with respect and care. Racist, prejudice or hateful talk or actions will not be tolerated and have no home with North Studios.

Refunds & Cancellations

Members may cancel their membership at North Studios at any time and their profile and all artwork will be removed upon request from the North Studios website within 14 days. North Studios reserves the right to decline requested membership or cancel existing membership for violation of any of it’s community policies or at will.

Annual membership fees will be refunded if the following conditions are met:

1. The request is made within 14 days from day of payment
2. The member has not violated any of our community guidelines
3. The members online profile listing on www.northstudios.org has not been created yet

Refund requests that violate the above conditions will be denied.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

1. All content provided, including the information, names, images, pictures, logos and icons regarding or relating to North Studios, its products and services (or to third party products and services), is provided “As is” and on an “As available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, North Studios excludes all representations and warranties (whether express or implied by law), including the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy. North Studios does not guarantee the timeliness, completeness or performance of any aspect of the service or any of its content. While we try to ensure that all content provided by North Studios is correct at the time of publication, no responsibility is accepted by or on behalf of North Studios for any errors, omissions or inaccurate content on the service.
2. Neither North Studios nor any of its officers or employees shall be liable for any of the following losses or damages (whether such damage or losses were foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise): (a) physical or psychological injury (including death); (b) illness; (c) loss of property; (d) damage to property; (e) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity or anticipated savings; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; or (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of the service regardless of the form of action.
