This Prince Original is originally 3ft tall by 2ft wide. I never thought that I would paint Prince but I felt compelled to do my own tribute to him since I grew up listening to his music. I know that other artists have also done tributes to Prince but we all have our own spin on it and I combined elements of “Purple Rain”, “When Doves Cry” and his symbol into the painting. I put his hands in the prayer position because he was somewhat religious towards the end of his life. Some of his music was influenced spiritually/ by his beliefs and he was such a prolific artist/ musician. He will never be forgotten.
