Courtney Hansen is a collage artist from Portland Oregon, temporarily residing in Clark County.

Growing up with artistic parents, Courtney was encouraged to express herself with creativity. She used art as a therapeutic outlet to share her influence and experience.
For over 10 years, Courtney worked as a makeup artist. This artistry was another way to share and develop her skills, pulling concepts from current trends. She considers fashion, design and pop culture her main influences.

Courtney is a storyteller that uses recycled materials to create harmony from disorder. Beginning with collected scraps, she assembles pieces in a layering process using paper, acrylics and glue. Amassing the imagery and scraps is very much a part of her process.

Courtney’s work is a representation of adjusting to life’s unexpected moments and finding contentment in the surprises and imperfections.
